How custom banker bags get made
Five weeks from “we should do this” to bags on partners’ desks — three weeks of that is production. Here’s the full workflow.
1 Brief us on your firm
Day 1, ten minutes. Fill out the quote form or email George directly with three things: your firm name, your logo (vector if you have it, photo of a business card if you don’t), and a target quantity range. If you have a deadline — partner retreat, intern start date, conference load-in — tell us that too.
We use the quantity and deadline to recommend a finish (embroidery vs. screen print) and a closure style (zip vs. snap vs. leather-trim) that fits the audience. A 50-bag partner-gift order looks different from a 2,000-bag analyst onboarding kit, and we’ll guide you on the spec choices that actually matter at each scale.
2 Free mockup in 24–48 hours
Day 1–2. Our designers clean up your logo, redraw it to print-ready vector if needed, and lay it out on two or three banker-bag silhouettes so you can see options. We email you a PDF mockup deck — share it internally, gather feedback from marketing and the managing partner, and send notes back.
Revise as many rounds as you need at no charge. We don’t bill design hours and we don’t push you toward an unflattering layout because it’s faster to produce. Every mockup is print-accurate so what you approve is what shows up on the bag.
3 Approve artwork and confirm the spec
Day 3–5. Once the layout is locked, we send a one-page spec sheet: canvas weight, color, hardware finish, closure type, embroidery thread colors or print Pantones, interior options, and per-bag price at your chosen quantity. Sign it and we’re locked.
The spec sheet doubles as your reorder reference. Next year’s intern class or next quarter’s closing gifts ship with one email — same artwork, same canvas, same price (held for 12 months).
4 Pay the invoice
Day 5. Card, ACH, or wire on first orders. Net-30 PO terms available for established firms and government entities after a quick credit check. Production starts the same day the invoice clears.
5 Optional pre-production sample
Day 5–12, orders 250+. For larger runs we strongly recommend a physical pre-production sample. We make one bag to your exact spec, photograph it, and ship it overnight for hands-on approval before the full run. Sample cost is credited toward the final invoice.
6 Production
Day 5–20. Bags are cut, sewn, and decorated on our finance-and-legal production queue. Every unit is inspected for stitch quality, hardware alignment, print registration, and finished dimensions. We photograph the run as it comes off the line and send proof photos before packing.
7 Ship + split-ship to multiple offices
Day 20–22. Bags ship via UPS or FedEx Ground within the continental US, with expedited and international options available. If you need split shipping to regional offices, we handle the routing on one PO and provide per-location tracking links.
8 Reorder, easy
Year 2+. Your spec is on file. Next year’s intern class or next quarter’s closing gifts ship in three weeks with one email — same artwork, same canvas, same price (held for 12 months).
